Care for the glass plates

To Take care of glass plates, hand washing is the best option. Use grease cutting dish detergent and hot water. Wear rubber gloves when washing glass cookware for a better grip and to prevent dropping and breaking.

Look Wise

To create an informal look on the table, choose plates in materials like stoneware, plastic and earthenware. On the other hand, for a more formal appeal, it’s better to choose plates made from porcelain and bone china.

Microwave Check

Read the back or bottom of the plate. It will tell you if it’s safe for use in the oven or microwave. Also, generally plates with a gold or silver lining should be avoided for extreme microwave temperatures.

No Dishwater

Plates with gold, silver or platinum plating should be handled with care and not be washed in dish washer at all.

Money matters

Check your pocket before investing in dinner ware. The most expensive ones are plates made from bone china and porcelain. Then, comes stoneware, followed by plastic and earthenware.
