3G Spectrum auction on Dec 7

The government will hold the third generation (3G) wireless spectrum auction for GSM operators on December 7 and invite bids from October 26 to November 13. It will hold the auction for EVDO (CDMA version of 3G) and broadband wireless access after two days of the 3G auction.

3rd-Party ATM withdrawals to end soon

For all those enjoying the benefits of unlimited free usage of third party ATMs by account holders, the joy is likely to end soon. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has seen reason in the banks’ demand for putting restrictions on cash withdrawals from third party ATMs.

IIT Convocation day

IIT- Delhi will host its 40th annual convocation over the weekend. This year about 1,420 students will be graduating from the Institute. Among them will be the first batch of 22 students of the unique diploma programme in Metro Rail Transport: Technology and Management. The convocation this year would see a record number of 181 PhD degrees being awarded, an increase of 23 percent over last year.

DCE set to get more engineering seats

Students wanting to enter into one of most prestigious College “Delhi College of Engineering” can breathe easy.

The DCE is all set to be upgraded into a state university; also seats will be increased for its undergraduate and post-graduate courses.

BIG TV brings out 10 new channels

bigtvBIG TV, the DTH service from Reliance, has expanded its channel offering by adding 10 new channels which will be made available from today.

Amitabh turns down Australian Honour

Sania Mirza all set to Tie the Knot

Sania Mirza is set to engage to long time fried Sohrab Mirza on July 10 in her hometown, Hyderabad. They are supposed to know each other from the School days.
