There is some good news for all the telephone users. New IT and Telecom minister A. Raja has announced that his department would be slashing the STD and Local telephone call rates soon.

Now you would be able to do STD and Local telephone call at a rate of 25 Paise and 10 paise per minute respectively.

A. Raja is MP from the Nilgiri Constituency, is close to Karunanidi;s wife Rajati Ammal. The announcement came the day after he rejoined the cabinet ministry and showed signs for taking some more people friendly decisions in the future.

A Raja took oath yesterday as Cabinet Minister in the new government set-up, retaining the IT & Communications Ministry which he held for two years in the previous tenure of UPA government as well.
