In June this year, Skype came up with one-on-one video chat for Android, but the feature support was only for a handful of smartphones. In the latest version – Skype 2.1 for Android – the support for the video chat has been extended to 17 new Android Smartphones and tablets.

The complete list that supports video chat includes:

1)      Acer A5

2)      HTC Desire (2.2)

3)      HTC Desire HD

4)      HTC Evo 3D

5)      HTC Evo 4G

6)      HTC Flyer

7)      HTC Incredible S

8)      HTC Sensation

9)      HTC Thunderbolt – Verizon (2.2) (U.S. only)

10)  LG Revolution – Verizon (2.2) (U.S. only)

11)  Samsung Droid Charge – Verizon (2.2) (U.S. only)

12)  Samsung Galaxy S

13)  Samsung Galaxy S II

14)  Samsung Galaxy Tab

15)  Sony Ericsson Xperia mini pro

If you one of the above listed Android device then enjoy video chat, but for other if you are running Android 2.2 and above you can also enjoy this feature – enable video calling in Skype Settings with the new option “enable video calling”. If it is not working even then – it means that your device does not meet minimum requirements for this feature.
