The digital subsidiary of Percept Holdings – Percept Knorgin has floated its second online media property (cinecurry.com was launched in December last year for the movie lovers) – ChalBabaChal.com – on the World Wide Web. Percept Knorgin claims that ChalBabaChal.com is an online travel search engine hoarding comprehensive information about nine lakh hotels, across 20,000 destinations in 118 countries.

The moment I read the news about this site being launched, I browsed through the site and I must say that it reflects very good work. I can get all the information on the single website, few of my colleagues who are frequent travelers loved the site and have already started using this for their travel plans.

Percept Knorgin says that the ChalBabaChal.com is travel search website different from the likes of Ixigo, Sprice, Kayak, etc. The ChalBabaChal.com will provide the information useful for travelers, such as flight details, search for hotel deals, availability of train tickets, etc. However, the site will not allow online booking, but will redirect the users to the sites concerned for online booking.

The ChalBabaChal.com facilitates browsing through the websites of various online travel agencies (OTAs), such as Travelocity.co.in, Expedia.com and TravelGuru.com to provide details about hotels.

The revenue model of the ChalBabaChal.com is based on commission from the airline companies, and revenue sharing with OTAs.

The company is planning to launch an auto search engine soon and an education related site as well. It will soon announce its entry into the mobile value-added services space.
