Stress is inevitable in our life or at times it feels like it is more of an integral part of life, and when we are anxious, we tend to interfere with our own healthy eating habit. Pressure from all aspects overpowers our body. Although it’s our lifestyle is what is more responsible for stress and regular exercises can help us in getting rid/relieved  of stress, Yoga immediately comes to mind for relaxing. But few foods can also help in relieving stress.

Chocolate: It has been scientifically proven that the smell of chocolate enhances the brain waves that result in relaxation. So the next time you are stressed you can eat a slab and feel better. Chocolate increases happiness and many experience pain reducing benefits too. It can even decrease fatigue and boost your spirits.

Spinach: Spinach is rich in magnesium, which helps in lower your stress levels. Not having enough magnesium in your diet can also give you stress induced headaches.

Banana: Bananas contain around hundred calories and is also rich in carbohydrates, vitamin B 6 and magnesium. All of this helps you elevate your mood and combat stress.

Broccoli: The super green veggie is rich in vitamin B that is a mood up lifter, Folic acid present in it is effective in getting rid of anxiety and pain.

Milk: Drinking two glasses of milk gives you a vitamin boost and you are better equipped to fight stress.
