Manish Pandey comes into limelight

manishManish Pandey comes into limelight after scoring a century (first Indian) in the IPL. This 19 year old boy represents Karnataka and will be their next big Hope for the coming Ranji Seasons. He entered the record books as he scored the hightest Twenty29 score by an Indian.

He has represented Karnataka at the Under-17, Under-19 levels, also represented India in the U-19 World cup in 2008 but didn’t get many chances in that winning side.

Last year in the IPL he was part of Mumbai Indians, where also he didn’t got chances to prove himself. This year he was switched and came into Royal Challengers Bangalore, last night he got an opportunity to open the innings and he grabbed that with both hands. He wasn’t his usual self at the beginning and also luck was at his side when R.P Singh at long on dropped a straight forward chance of the bowling of Ryan Harris when he was on ‘2’ , thereafter there was no looking back as he went to play full 20 overs and showing his range of shots.

Nice to see some new Indian talent coming forward.
