Moisturize: Â When applying foundation for makeup, clean your hands and skin, and apply the moisturizer that suits your skin type. Apply foundation after ten minutes of moisturizing as it will give you a perfect base.
Use a sponge: When applying foundation, use a cosmetic sponge – using your fingertips may result in an uneven, greasy finish. Dampen the sponge first, squeezing out the excess moisture – this will make the application easier and avert the sponge from soaking up too much foundation. Place a small amount of foundation on the back of one hand and dip your makeup sponge in it.
Dot it right: Apply foundation by dotting it on your forehead, chin, cheeks and nose, and then blend each one with your sponge. Blend out to your hair and jaw line till the foundation vanishes. Pay particular attention to blending around the nose, mouth and jaw line.
Let it set: Set the foundation with the powder because a light brushing of powder on your foundation sets it tight, making it last longer. Also ensure that you are on brighter lights while applying the foundation so that it looks perfect and more natural.
