Distance:  The first thing to keep in mind is its distance from work or your house. It should not be so fast that you are able to use it as an excuse to not exercise.

Space: Some gyms have very good equipments, but very little floor space. Make sure there’s ample space for a work-out, especially during peak hours.

Membership: The most important aspect in a gym is the average number of members per hour during peak hours. Also make sure that there is sufficient equipment; so you don’t have to wait for your turn to use the machine.

Hygiene: The place should be hygiene to make you feel comfortable and clean.

Trainers: A qualified and experience professional trainer can make you or break you. Ask for a trial class, and ask the management about the trainer’s past work experience and qualifications.

Washroom: Look out for the facilities in the washroom, at times after a long workout its good if you take a bath with mild water there itself to easy out the body. So, proper arrangement must be there.
