A lot of Indian spices if taken regularly can help in boosting your health. Not only they help in building immunity but also aids in other aspects of health. Here are few of the spices with their health benefits :

Cinnamon: A staple in all sorts of desserts and similar dishes, this spice is a natural warmer that helps fight cold and is also good for your stomach. Soak it in water and have it along with lemon and honey for weight loss.

Asafetida: It’s high in mineral, calcium and iron. A small quantity dissolved in water helps fight diseases such as asthma and stomach ailments. It is also used to aid digestion and is smeared on the abdomen in an alcohol or water tincture known as mahahing.

Cumin: It’s very rich in iron, calcium, potassium and even vitamin A and B. Roast and have it with gur. Boil cumin seeds in water and drink it like tea to get rid of acute stomach problems.

Clove: It has excellent warming effect and is also an aphrodisiac. Chew it whenever you have tooth ache. Clove buds are also known to have very effective anti-oxidant properties and can also be used as an oil for curing hypotonic muscles, including multiple sclerosis.

Saffron: You can call it the wonder herb. There has been documentation of saffron’s use over the span of 4,000 years in the treatment of some 90 illness. It’s a purifier and has a cooling effect. Dissolve it with goat milk and drink it for purifying blood.
